With over 24 years’ experience as a practicing RN, Jan brings first-hand knowledge of how HIPAA policies and procedures impact the workplace. She understands the need to comply with the HIPAA law and the balance of practical implementation. She envisioned a company that brings together security, technology, and education experts to create a customized HIPAA compliance service for all businesses that qualify as Covered Entities. As the president of Total HIPAA, Jan manages day-to-day operations and ensures that our products stay up-to-date and valuable for the end-user.
Rob, VP Sales & Marketing (LinkedIn)
Rob is highly skilled at producing efficient, effective, and appealing sales and training materials for complex subjects. He draws on his experience as an instructional designer for the NC Department of Public Instruction and as a Marketing Manager for Nortel to oversee the marketing division of Total HIPAA. In 1992, Rob started and managed a strategic marketing and communication consulting agency called Connections Too. In 2003 he formed the HIPAA consulting company that became Total HIPAA Compliance. The company has evolved to serve five markets with customized HIPAA compliance solutions for thousands of clients.
Jason, Chief Compliance Officer (LinkedIn)
As Chief Compliance Officer and co-author of Total HIPAA’s training materials, Jason is well versed in the intricacies of compliance, implementation, and updates. He takes a personal approach to assisting clients with the details of developing well-documented HIPAA compliance plans. He has been a featured speaker and webinar presenter for NAHU, the National Brokers’ Association, CAHU, NAIFA, and NueMD.
Tessa started at Total HIPAA as an intern for the Compliance Team. Over the years her responsibility has grown as the company has matured. She has held many titles, such as Assistant to the Chief Compliance Officer, Project Manager, and now Director of Operations. Tessa currently manages the day-to-day operations of Total HIPAA Compliance and daily client interaction, making sure that our products remain valuable for the end-user. She assists clients with a hands-on approach throughout the HIPAA Prime™ process.
David is a licensed continuing education provider and a nationally recognized speaker. He lectures throughout the US, focusing on educating employers, agents, brokers, and consultants on the impact of state and federal laws on employer benefits. He is the author of much of the Total HIPAA training materials. David is currently the Vice President of Compliance for Ebenconcepts, a consulting and brokerage firm based in NC. He is a member of IIANC and NAIFA as well as NAHU, where he has served in leadership positions at the state, local, and national level. In 2018 David was awarded NAHU’s highest honor and one of the top awards in the insurance industry: The Harold R. Gordon Memorial Award.
Andrew, Director of Customer Success (LinkedIn)
Andrew is the Director of Customer Success for Total HIPAA Compliance, LLC. He is responsible for Total HIPAA’s IT, security, and ensuring customer satisfaction. He has worked for and consulted with a wide variety of Fortune 100 companies. His expertise includes programming, customer support, endpoint management, enterprise software implementation, sales, security, project management, solution architecture, and IT asset management and compliance. He is pursuing his Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
